Lanzarote is the easternmost island of the Canary Islands and is situated about 140km from the african coast. It is about 60km long and 20km wide.
Lanzarote enjoys a mild climate with average temperatures ranging from about 21°C in January to 29°C in August and the average annual rainfall is just 140mm.
Lanzarote has a great tourist interest, apart from the paradisical beaches with crystal clear waters, there is a great variety of interesting places to visit, like the Timanfaya National Park, Túnel de la Atlántida, the world´s largest volcanic lava tube, the Cueva de los Verdes (the green cave), Jameos del Agua, Casa Museo and the Monumento al Campesino built by the artist César Manrique y el jardín del cactus... etc.
